A George III Carved Mahogany Chair to a Design by Robert and John Linnell C.1770

Description

Nice quality Georgain chair. Historic repair where cresting rail meets the upright stile on one side, visible on image. The chair is structurally sound, the seat has been recently re-upholstered and covered in a woollen herringhbone tweed fabric. The legs are fluted, which is a detail not always seen on this model, and there are punched circular capitals.
