In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has been upholstered in blue leather with brass studded edges and a buttoned back. The leather is in very good condition with a little bit of wear but nothing detrimental. It serves as a very comfortable desk chair but could also be a nice library or hall chair.
The chair is in good condition for its age and has developed a lovely aged patina.
There are signs of age and use, some knocks and marks around the legs and a small chip in the corner of one of the back supports (see photo) but no major damages or anything detrimental.
It is approximately 30" (76cm) high and 22" (56cm) deep. It is 29" (74cm) wide across the outside of the arms. The seat is approximately 17 3/4" (45cm) high.
