In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
There are signs of age and use and some light marks on the seat and around the legs but nothing detrimental. There are a few minor old repairs and the seat does have a slight warp but nothing untoward and it has developed a wonderful rich patina. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
The chair stands approximately 36 1/2" (92cm) high, the seat is 15 1/2" (39cm) deep and 17 1/4" (44cm) high and arm to arm the chair is 22" (56cm) wide.
