Description

Absolutely stunning 19th century French gilt Louis XV mirror.
It dates from the late 1800s.
It has its magnificent, original heavy mercury glass with no scratches. Mercury glass is so hard to find and gives a reflection and sparkle like no other.
It has its beautiful real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame in exceptional condition.
It has masses of gorgeous, ornate gesso floral detail to its frame. Beautiful swirls on either side and a large ornate crest.
It has all its original pine backboards.
It is an overmantel mirror that would look stunning above a large fireplace but equally lovely, freestanding in a lounge or bedroom or just hanging on a large wall.
