Good Pair of Regency Sabre Leg Chairs

Description

Good pair of early 19th century Regency mahogany sabre leg dining chairs. Sabre front legs with an inlaid double boxwood line stringing. Nice shape back with carved and moulded centre splat, boxwood line inlay to the back panel with a turned and carved rope twist top rail. Lift out seat frames with needlework covers.

There are a couple of very minor old repairs to the top rail of the back on one of them but they are both strong and sturdy and are a nice pleasing colour with waxed finish.

SIZE; 19" across the front by 17" deep. Height is 33" overall. Seat height is 19".
