Gillows Windsor Chair

A hoop back Windsor chair, this pattern was produced by Gillows C.1800, mostly for export to the West Indies, but also for the domestic market. They originate from the Northern village of High Bentham, where they made by James Wilcock. The seat of this chair has had a hard life but it is solid, sound and very comfortable.
