Set of 8 early C19th Regency mahogany dining chairs .

Raised on reeded forelegs with drop-in seats , the carved top rails with decorative classically-referenced anthemion or honeysuckle details . The top of the backs surmounted with a carved ‘sun-burst’ motif. The centre of the backs with double reeded lumbar bars spaced with circular turned paterae .

In fresh-to-market , ‘countryhouse’ condition. Minor historical repairs but in strong , useable condition. Original polished finish and patina.

The drop-in seats with useable but faded, old corded velvet covers which could benefit from re-covering.

A decorative and practical long set of single dining chairs.
