Large Georgian Rosewood Campaign Writing Slope.

Description

A late Georgian rosewood & brass bound campaign writing slope of large proportions.

The writing slope has a lovely colour and patina throughout. The wood has some minor historic losses to the extremities in places commensurate with age but generally remains in a good condition.

The box opens to reveal a lined green interior with pen rest, storage compartments and two inkwells. The hinged interior slope opens with ease to each side to reveal the compartments beneath.

A very attractive piece.
