Description

A most decorative Victorian walnut Prie Dieu chair dating from around 1860. The chair is upholstered in a pale grey and soft green shade gros point with fabulous beadwork of large llily sprays. The beadwork is in remarkably good order for its age with only some minor areas of losses here and there. The chair is solidly constructed in top quality walnut which has a superb colour and patina. It has deeply turned spiral twist columns and baluster turned uprights, on squat cabriole front legs and it’s original porcelain castors.

The chair measures 100 cms high 45 cms deep by 35 cms wide.
