Stunning antique French gilt leaner mirror in superb condition.

It dates from around 1880.

It has its beautiful real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame including its large, ornate ribbon crest with no chips.

It has its gorgeous original mercury glass in exceptional condition with no foxing or scratches and all its original pine backboards. Mercury glass in increasingly hard to find these days and gives a reflection and sparkle like no other.

It would make a magnificent overmantel above a large fireplace or free standing leaner mirror.
