Carved Gilded Florentine Mirror

19th century
Description

Circa 1860. An elegant well carved gilded Florentine mirror. The outside of the frame with scrolling foliate carving which is pierced with overlapping sections, which continue around the entire mirror frame. In the center is a bevel-edged mirror surrounded by an elegant carved and gilded inner frame with flower heads and scrolling leaves to the side. The mirror and frame are in excellent condition and can be hung landscape or portrait.
