Description

Pair of carved mahogany 18th century George III Period Armchairs.

A cartouche back centralized with ‘C’ scrolls and a shell motif and scrolled ears above an upholstered back and seat. The padded arms rise above carved beaded mouldings and rake back supports. The stuff over serpentine seats have recently been re-upholstered and covered with a golden damask . The mahogany frames are carved and shaped and raised on turned cabriole legs and terminate on French Hepplewhite style feet.
