Large Ebonised Oval Mirror

1900 - 1920
Description

Great size and very decorative English oak ebonised oval mirror with original mirror plate and moulded frame, circa 1900 and in good original condition.

This is a generous size for an oval mirror as they tend to be of smaller proportions, whereas this oval mirror will hang above a 6' / 180cm wide sideboard for example, or you might want to hang it "portrait" over a mantle.

The ebonised finish is lovely and has aged gracefully over the years, revealing a little of the solid oak frame grain and the light catches the shaped or moulded frame beautifully.

I've always been a fan of oval mirrors, and ebonised mirrors, so I was thrilled to have found this particular mirror!
