Chair Rare Primitive West Country Windsor Ash Elm George III C1790

Here we have a wonderful rare George III West country primitive Windsor armchair in Ash and Elm c1790. As you can see the chair has great colour and patina. There is a hooped Ash top with wonderful through joints. The stick back extends through the middle hoop which also has through joints from the arm supports. Fortunately there has been a 19th century steel band placed on the middle hoop for support. There is a wonderful thick Elm seat with through jointed Ash legs which are joined by an H stretcher. Remarkably the chair has lost very little height over its 200+ years and is in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 106 cm high 57 cm wide 45 cm deep.
