A fine quality mahogany and brass armchair with original leather upholstery. The chair is of typical Directoire style with a simple and elegant design. The chair is highbacked and would work well in any part of the room as it is finished beautifully on all sides. The armchair is made in quality dense Cuban mahogany throughout, and applied with simple ogee profile brass moulding. The legs are fluted with brass ring collars and simple dart shaped mounts. The Moroccan leather is the original and is in overall very good condition and is very usable. A fine quality and stylish armchair in great untouched condition. C.1880.
