Below, there is a decorative cross-banded mahogany drawer, constructed with hand dovetailed oak drawer linings, which retains its original brass working lever lock and key and mahogany turned knobs. The drawer interior boasts the original blue Regency rice paper lining, which is very nice to see it has survived intact until today. The chiffonier would have most likely been used in a dining room to store the families� best crockery and cutlery. Below the drawer sit two lovely mahogany doors, both featuring inset moulded panels, flanked by block columns. The right-hand door retains its original working lock, with a key. Inside, there is a central shelf. The left door retains its original internal brass locking latches. The chiffonier stands on a lovely protruding breakfront-moulded plinth, with the back of the chiffonier retaining its original pine backboards, terminated on the original elegant turned bun feet.
