A particulary fine mahogany carver chair by the revered construction company, interior designers, cabinet makers and joiners Trollope & Colls Ltd. The company was formed in 1903 after the merger with George Trollope & Sons and were soon regarded as the largest company of its type in the UK. One of their prestigous contracts was to furnish and interior decorate the White Star Line for Haarland & Wolf, the builders of the Titanic. As you can see from the images, the cabinet maker has spared no effort in the chair''s construction and decoration, adding extra flourish and wonderful detail to the carved back and arms. Now sensitively restored, with its seat re-upholstered in a charcoal velvet this stylish carver chair would enhance many diverse inteiors or be a perfect addition desk.
Whenever possible Culvertons undertake the carriage of items within London and the home counties.
