Pair of French Green and Gilt Lacquered Faux Bamboo Mirrors

1920 - 1940
Description

Really super pair of French 1930's faux bamboo mirrors in a green and gilt lacquered finish.

They are able to be hung either "portrait" or "landscape" and aren't terribly heavy, so will hang from a single fixing and with a wire or chain.

The green lacquer is a wonderful rich tone, much like a British racing green and with the gilt highlighting the bamboo turnings, they are a very decorative pair.

The mirror glass isn't new, so it has some age to the glass but no foxing.

Priced as a pair.

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
