With the generous pediment sitting atop the top rail, really helping to emphasize the height of the back, it has all the hallmarks of an imposing piece of furniture. The oak itself has a wonderful patination to its deep rich colour as well as having a very good weight to it. This chair would make a statement wherever placed and would work well in both a contemporary or more traditional interior décor.
