In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1920s.
It has a padded seat which has been recently recovered. It has four cabriole legs terminating in castors and the chair swivels on a ball bearing mechanism below the seat.
It is approximately 42" (107cm) high and the arms are 22" (56cm) wide. It is approximately 19" (48cm) deep and the seat is 18" (46cm) high.
It is in excellent condition for its age. It has developed a lovely rich patina and is structurally very sound. It is not without a few small marks here and there but nothing untoward for a chair of this age. The seat is in good condition with no splits or tears and the mechanism for swivelling is in good strong working order.
