The chair seat has been recently upholstered with a light tan full grain green leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The desk chair has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard. The office chair incorporates a revolving mechanism and it rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The mechanism also features a reclining action, the tension of which can be adjusted by turning a small wheel at the front of the mechanism. The chair mechanism is in good working order. The chair sits on four splayed solid oak legs that terminate on top quality replacement English made solid brass castors, which are in excellent condition. The chair frame is sturdy and the item is extremely comfortable to sit on, as it features a lovely padded seat.

Condition Report:
This Edwardian oak desk chair and mechanism are in good overall condition, considering its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair features a light mellow oak colour, having been professionally French polished, by hand, in our workshops. The chair seat has been recently upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain green leather, which incorporates the traditional brass studwork tacks to the seat perimeter. Therefore, the leather is in good overall condition. The reclining and adjustable height mechanism is in good working order. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The chair features top quality replacement English made solid brass castors, which are in excellent condition. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
