A large Victorian mahogany and brass bound writing slope with a frieze drawer, c.1840. The slope opens to reveal interior pigeon holes, pen tray, lidded compartment and a purple baize lined writing surface.

The box has replacement wood surrounding the key hole and wear commensurate commensurate with age throughout. All hinges function well.

An attractive writing slope with a wonderful patina.
