Antique Chinese Carved Hardwood Armchair

Description

Circa 1890, Chinese Qing Dynasty carved hardwood armchair. The curved backs and sides profusely carved with pierced foliage and mythical dragons, and the arms each taking the form of dragons. The serpentine shaped seat with Chinese motifs above pierced and foliate carved seat rails. All supported on cabriole legs with carved dragon heads and finishing on scrolled toes.
