Andros Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The deeply curved back is topped by a well carved crescent top rail with the arms terminating in a shaped sphere where they meet the front uprights. The Green hide seat is finished with a row of nails to add decorative appeal and contrasts so well with the light oak.
