Four good, early 19th century ash and elm chairs.
These chairs are all different but similar enough to look well together
There is a huge difference between these lovely handmade chairs that were made in the early 19th century by travelling craftsmen and 20th century masss produced ones.
The elm saddle seats are well shaped and the spindles, legs and bentwood ash backs are finely made.
The height of the seats is 17 -17.5cm.
The heights of the backs vary between 89 and 91cm
