The back connects to shaped arms on shaped vertical supports. The back and arms connect to the solid moulded walnut “saddle shaped” seat, which displays stunning grain configuration. The chair sits on four splayed oak legs that terminate on its original steel castors. The chair incorporates a mechanism allowing it to rotate 360 degrees and recline backwards. The seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair, while the reclining tension can be adjusted by turning the small wheel at the front of the mechanism. The chair mechanism is in excellent working order. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on as it features a lovely moulded seat.

Condition Report:
This Edwardian oak revolving desk chair and mechanism are in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame and seat but nothing significant considering the age of the item. All chair joints have been glued and tightened.

The chair features a rich brown oak colour, having been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. The seat is solid and features lovely oak grain configuration. The original reclining and adjustable height mechanism are in good working order. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The chair retains its original solid steel castors. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
