Antique Pair of French Mahogany Salon Chairs

Description

Circa 1870, pair of French carved mahogany salon chairs. The shaped, padded backs surmounted by foliate carving, with beautiful water silk upholstery, carved and shaped arms with padded rests over supports with acanthus leaf designs and beading. The large stuffover seat in similar upholstery, over a shaped seat rail, with acanthus carved cabriole front legs and similar, slightly outswept rear legs.
