Description

Large size pair of French walnut and upholstered Library chairs. Solid walnut chairs with carved and gilded decoration. Shaped legs with wavy under-stretchers. Serpentine shape to the front and the top of the back. The chairs are nicely upholstered it what may well be the original needlework and felt type covers. These chairs are large in size and as such are very comfortable.

The condition is basically pretty good, they are both sound but there is historic worm damage in places on both and one has an old repaired crack to one of the back legs which is now perfectly solid and hardly noticeable.

SIZE; 27" wide by 25" deep by 46" high overall. Seat height is 18"
