A good set of eight Regency mahogany dining chairs, each with a reeded toprail and flame mahogany panel within ebony stringing and with a similar backrail, and with downswept reeded uprights continued down to the sides and the sabre legs, and with drop-in seats newly recovered with a pale blue fabric by Linwood. English, circa 1820.
Condition: Excellent, the chairs are all solid and robust, the seats are clean and well padded. The colour of the inlaid panels is excellent with each having a wonderful colour and grain, and the overall colour is very pleasing.
