Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Traditionally upholstered in a faux leather which is in super condition. Interestingly, both the armchairs are stamped on the back legs by the maker, S and W.H also with GRV and J.S under a crown. So they were originally made for an English public buildig such as a libarary or court during the reign of King George V. They are both an ample and comfortable size and are in great condition.
