Late 17th Century Oak Hall Chair

Description

Good late 17th century oak hall chair with original carving to the back. This is a very elegant chair with high back. The base section displays lovely turnings to both the legs and stretchers. The carving and shape of the high back are also very nice. The chair is in good condition for its age and is a lovely colour with original patination and waxed finish.

The chair has very minor restoration, and the original wooden seat has been re-polished in the 19th century.

SIZE; 18" wide by 15" deep by 43" high overall. Seat height is 18 1/2"
