Brass Lantern Clock

19th century
Description

A large 19th century brass lantern clock , fusee driven on a chain , two train striking on a bell , in original untouched condition. The face is nicely engraved having Roman numerals. To the top of the clock there is pierced brass work depicting two dolphins and foliage, also to the sides . The clock has a dome shaped bell with a finial to the top and has a pleasing ring to it when it strikes . There are doors to the side and back which reveal the movement. It has four turned brass feet and is mounted on a good quality mahogany base .
