Very good pair of French c19th carved walnut wing armchairs of lovely proportions and fabulous style.
The chairs are currently in possibly their original tapestry upholstery and finished with studs. The frames are beautifully carved and with them being carved to their backs too, they can free stand although as you see, they have both had their backs replaced at some point.
The frames have been cleaned and beeswax polished to give a wonderful warm glow and are very much solid and firm frames.
The generously filled feather cushion makes for a very comfortable seat and the wings hold your shoulders, whilst the seat back arch supports your head ( I am 5’10” tall and sitting in these chairs my head rests on the arch back ).
Of course if you are keen on the chairs but would rather them be fully re upholstered in your own choice of fabric, no problem to do so for you, so please do get in touch to discuss.
Any queries, don’t hesitate to call or message me anytime.
