Antoinettes Heirlooms has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Both chairs are intricately carved cherry wood.

The chairs have swept cabriole legs and carved pediments and skirts
The depth of carving on the gentleman’s seat arms is magnificent.
The style makes these chairs extremely tactile and they have both developed a beautiful aged patina.

The quilted spoon backs are both waisted and join deep flared seats.
The chairs have original castors and brass castor fittings.
These chairs have been lovingly cared for by a previous custodian and they have a modern beige / taupe Draylon upholstery.

Whilst relatively new and I. Superb condition there are some slight flecks commensurate with use, they are so minimal they have hardly shown up in the photographs.
They are trimmed in a complimentary brocade

The gentleman’s chair has limited signs of previous visitors! Although they have been treated and show no evidence.clearly photographed
All in all these are a Rare and affordable find, to have such age, elaborate decoration and a sympathetic light aged wood.

The sizes are approximate the ladies chair is approx 4cm lower in height than the gentleman’s chair. Overall the seat depth is the same on the ladies and width approximately the same.
