A Set Of Four William And Mary Walnut Chairs

A set of four William and Mary dining or hall chairs in walnut, the high arched toprail with a caned panel between two uprights and a matching lower arch, over a caned seat and on turned supports with inverted balusters on compressed bun feet united by turned stretchers. English circa 1690.
 
Condition: Overall very good, the chairs are reasonably solid for their age; each toprail has at some point been strengthened by an iron brace, however besides these they are free from breaks. The caned seats are in good condition however a cushion should always be used on any caned seat.
