Large Austrian "Tramp Art" Mirror with Original Glass

Description

Large and fabulous example of the fascinating "tramp art" style mirror, beautifully carved in multiple layers of basswood and to great detail. I have dated this piece to the mid 19th century with how it is made, the finish and the condition.

The effect gives you a lovely depth to the frame and super decorative. This one is a large scale piece and in wonderful original condition.

You can hang the mirror in "portrait" or 'landscape" and it is also not terribly heavy, so no problem to hang on a single fixing and wire.
