Georgian Period Armchair

Description

Here we had for sale today this good early Georgian period mahogany armchair.

Dating around 1770's and all made in mahogany standing on these square legs and fitted with stretchers, shaped top rail with this pierced center splat, out swept arms and a drop in loose seat.

Having its original polish plus patina its a mellow mahogany colour (please see pictures)

Seat has been newly reupholstered in this quality heavy crush-velvet biscuit colour fabric.

This chair is solid in all its joints with NO woodworm. Please note that this chair is in good condition, ready to use, and requires NO restoration.

Dear customers all items of furniture can be viewed at our premises at Norbury in Shropshire SY13 4HY by appointment only, this is due to items being packed away in storage. ( and we would need to unpack them for display, please note this is not a problem, as we welcome viewers/customers)

We are a furniture restoration workshop, busy from day to day doing restoration work for the trade and general public alike.

All items for sale have been restored if restoration is required, unless otherwise stated. Upholstered items will have been re-upholstered, however if the fabric choice is not to taste, we offer a re-upholstery service in customers own fabric, or from our wide range of Linwood and Jim Dickens Fabric ( samples available )
