Large Antique French Gilt Crested Mirror

Description

Dimensions:W: 126cm (49.6")H: 161cm (63.4")

Absolutely stunning, large 19th century French gilt Louis XV mirror in perfect condition.

It dates from around 1880.

It has its beautiful, very wide gilt on gesso frame in a floral design and large, ornate shell and floral crest with no chips.

It also has its incredibly heavy, original glass with lovely foxing/patination in places and no scratches.

It has its original pine backboards.

It would look fantastic as an overmantel mirror or as a leaner mirror in a bedroom or lounge.
