Description:
The armchair features a comfortable curved bar back, connected to wrap around arms, supported by an elegant vertical fan back. The chair seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain sage green leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The chair has also been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop. The chair sits on four splayed solid oak legs that terminate on replacement English made solid brass castors. The chair incorporates a revolving mechanism and it rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair.
Condition Report:
This Edwardian desk chair and mechanism are in excellent condition, considering its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair but nothing significant considering the age of the item.
