Description
This handsome Victorian metamorphic library chair which transforms from a chair into library steps dates from the late 19th century and is a nice versatile piece of antique furniture. This well made chair has a beautiful ecclesiastical design similar to Pugin to the back rails, a hinged seat which folds and easily transforms into library steps by flipping over and securing with the metal bar/clasp. Condition: Very good solid antique condition but showing the age nicely. Some chips, nibbles, cracks, surface scratches, marks, losses and old repairs leaving a wonderful decorative look. Has nice colour and character. Please see pictures. Please note that only the chair/library steps is included and any other items in the pictures are for display only. _____________ If you have any further questions about this item please feel free to message us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
