Description

Circa 1890, unusual pair of late Victorian Art Nouveau style inlaid mahogany elbow chairs. The shaped backs with open fretwork and a central marquetry inlaid satinwood panel above flared fretted splats and with down-swept shepherd’s crook shaped arms on shaped supports. The overstuffed seats upholstered in a sympathetic Art Nouveau style material; all over cabriole legs terminating in pad feet in front and outswept rear supports.
