Adams Style Gilt Overmantel Mirror

Description

Circa 1890, Adams style gilded overmantel mirror. The flat top with shaped upright acanthus leaves and central large gilded eagle over a frieze with flower heads, swags and tails, and flower filled baskets. A beading frames the top of the original mirror plate, which is flanked by Corinthian capitals with carved flowerhead bases.
