Description

A pair of carved and painted 18th century open armchairs. The original green painted finish applied over gesso to the carved pine frame. The frames have a 15 to 20 % paint loss, the remaining paint is stable. Lovely curved, broad arm curve and sweep to the arm supports. C1780. A rare pair or period, painted salon armchairs
