Description:
This is a stunning quality set of four English antique Queen Anne style burr walnut dining chairs, constructed in the Edwardian period, circa 1900, which have been newly upholstered and French polished to a professional standard, in excellent condition.
The chairs are designed with drop-in seats, which have been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality hardwearing pale gold colour structured cotton upholstery, with a fine diamond shape pattern and finished with traditional hessian backing to the underside. The chairs stand on cabriole front legs, with shell carvings to the knees and resting on ball and claw feet, and sabre legs to the rear. This set of chairs have a lovely patination; displaying a lovely rich brown walnut colour, having been professionally French polished. These chairs are well constructed (they are heavy to lift!), solid in joint and ready to use.
Condition Report:
These stunning burr walnut dining chairs are in excellent condition. The chairs have been tightened and professionally French polished by hand, to a high standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chairs but nothing significant considering the age of them. The drop-in seats have been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in hardwearing pale gold colour structured cotton upholstery, with a fine diamond pattern, finished with traditional hessian backing to the underside. The upholstery is therefore clean, free from wear and marks. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice. The chair frames and joints are all in excellent condition, solid in joint with no breaks; the chairs are ready to be used. These are very good quality chairs – they are heavy to lift!
