Description

Rare George III mahogany windsor type armchair of an unusual form; the curved top rail above the turned spindals back having shaped arms on swept supports incorporating further spindals; the solid saddle shaped seat raised on square tapering legs having an unusual kickout joined by traditional 'H' stretchers.

English circa 1770

Good original condition with historic repair to the underside of the seat
