Description

An exceptionally good quality and unusually large French c19th Louis XVI style oval gilt mirror with all original bevelled edge mirror plates and retaining a lot of its original gold leaf.

The generous proportions of this mirror really do make this a show stopping decorative piece. It will hang well as an overmantle mirror, but also as a hall or console table mirror.

Beautifully detailed throughout the frame and a fabulous mellow gilt tone.

The five independent bevelled mirror plates are all in good condition and have minimal foxing, so give a very good reflective area in that mellow mercury tone.

Not terribly heavy, so it will hang easily on all wall surfaces.
