Super quality and large proportions than the average on this c19th French oval gilt mirror with its original mercury mirror plate.

Very decorative and fabulous warm and mellow tone to the original gold leaf.

The condition is good throughout the mirror.

Shown over a French bureau plat to give a sense of proportion, so as you can see, this mirror will hang well over a console or sideboard, but will also work well as a hall mirror or overmantle mirror.

Makers name and stamp to the original back boards, Rennes in northern France.

There are four brass mirror plates for hanging the mirror ( please ignore the steel fittings which are just for hanging in the studio here )
