A George IV Mahogany Desk Chair

Description

A George IV mahogany desk chair of elegant proportions, the wide toprail over scrolling arms and with a carved scrolling backrail, and with a stuffover box seat in pale blue herringbone linen with piped edge and studded base on sabre legs. English circa 1830.

Condition: Excellent, the seat has recently been recovered and the upholstery is good and firm, and the chair is comfortable to sit on. The colour is very good with a pleasing patina and the chair robust and solid.
