Description

Circa 1780, rare pair of George III style mahogany armchairs in exceptional original condition. The curved and fluted top rail supported on wheatsheaf splats and extending down as fluted arms on shaped supports. The overstuffed seats recovered in quality red leather upholstery with brass studding over cross-banded seat rails. Supported in front on tapering fluted legs over original brass castors and tapering outswept rear supports.
