A late Victorian armchair with an elm seat and mixed fruitwood to the arms and turnings. The draught slat to the back is most unusual to find in this type of chair and was probably for the sole use of the chairman/secretary/president. Called different things in different parts of of the country from captains chairs to smokers bows and many more. Absolutely original with a good patina and very solid this chair is in great condition.
